Dr Dilshan Arawwawala
Bsc(Hons), MB Chb, MRCP, FRCA, FFICM
Dr Dilshan Arawwawala was educated at Ilford County High Grammar School, Essex and in 1996 qualified in Medicine from Manchester University.
After two years of Internal Medicine he obtained the postgraduate
qualification of MRCP (Member of the Royal College of Physicians). Choosing
to specialise in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine he trained mainly
within the Imperial School of Anaesthesia, notably at Chelsea and Westminster, Hammersmith, Royal Marsden, Royal Brompton Hospitals as well as the St Andrew’s Centre for Burns, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. In 2007 he finished specialist
training, qualifying in both Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine.
In Consultant post since 2007 at Broomfield Hospital, he specialises in Anaesthesia for Reconstructive Breast Surgery and Adult General Intensive Care Medicine. He is the Research Lead for the Intensive Care Unit and currently Local Principal Investigator for six multi-centre research trials.

Dr Micheal Frost
Bsc, MB ChB, FRCA, FCARCSI, Dip IMC RCS (Edin)
Dr Michael Frost qualified from Dundee in July, 1994.
He received his initial training on the Tayside Anaesthetic rotation in 1995,
before taking up a Specialist Registrar post at King’s College Hospital, London. Whilst on the South East Thames Anaesthetics training scheme he
rotated through Tunbridge Wells, Eastbourne and East Grinstead before
returning to King’s College - finishing with 6 months working on the Liver
Transplant Unit. After completion of specialist training in March 2003, he took
up a Consultant post at the St Andrew's Centre for Plastic Surgery and Burns at Broomfield Hospital.
As a Consultant at Broomfield, Dr Frost provides anaesthetic services for both
adults and children - including infants - on a regular basis; covering the full
spectrum of plastic and burns surgery. He is particularly interested in intravenous anaesthetic techniques, regional anaesthesia and patient safety. To this end he is involved in risk management and runs human factors patient safety courses at Broomfield.
When not working, Dr Frost enjoys outdoor sports and photography. He has 2 young children who occupy much of his free time!

Dr Duncan Parkhouse
Bsc. MB BS FRCA
Dr Duncan Parkhouse qualified as a doctor from University College, London in 1990. In addition to his practice within the NHS he is an Officer in the British Army (Royal Army Medical Corps).
Since qualifying as a Consultant Anaesthetist in 2003 he has worked in Anaesthesia and Burns Intensive Care at the St Andrew's Centre for Plastic Surgery and Burns, Chelmsford. His case load there includes exposure to a wide patient mix from paediatrics through to geriatrics, ranging from the critically ill to day case surgery.
As such a wide experience base has been built up in providing safe, effective anaesthesia to the benefit of the varied patients that undergo plastic and reconstructive surgery.
Over the last few years he has been regularly deployed to Afghanistan, treating both soldiers and local Afghan civilians in both the hospital and pre-hospital environments. These patients often have significant injuries requiring the highest standard of critical care and emergency anaesthesia often practiced in the most challenging of environments.
Outside of medical and military life, Dr Parkhouse enjoys outdoor pursuits and spending time with his family and 2 dogs.
